I am a life-long traveler, a collector and connector of people, and a forever student.
My work has long been rooted in feminist and liberation frameworks. With Desiree (my mom), Josee (my stepmom), and Dawn (my maternal grandmother) close to my heart, my career started at a domestic violence shelter–a deeply personal experience. After law school, I started working in the housing justice space; first, while at HomeBase and CSH, providing technical assistance focused on ending cycles of homelessness; then, serving as the Chief Program Officer at Brilliant Corners.
At AMRF, I am most passionate about our gathering strategy, believing that bringing folks together is powerful magic. I value investing in people–as a mentor, as a co-conspirator, as a fellow explorer on the journey of life. A few years ago, I trained as a death doula. In that world they say, “How we live is how we die.” I hope to do all of it with an open-heart, intentionality, and love.
