A Dual Purpose
GO Grants work by resourcing smaller nonprofits and creating a cohort of mission-aligned leaders working in a community.
The premise of the GO Grant program is one that is anchored in trust – as in we trust our community partners every step of the way.

1.
Grant eligiblity criteria is co-designed with a local steering committee.
We work with trusted community members, often folks with lived experience, nonprofit leaders, and values-aligned co-funders to define the criteria for GO Grants.
2.
We'll handle the paperwork so you can focus on what matters.
Our grant applications take five minutes to complete and reporting for grant recipients generally entails a coffee date with one of our team members. That’s it.
3.
Attend a local one-year celebration and meet your fellow grantees.
A year after we send cheques, AMRF hosts a celebration with all grantees to thank them for their work and strengthen bonds.

Our Dollars for Doers program reaches nonprofits across the U.S. which align broadly with AMRF’s strategy and values.
This program offers more than funding. Each year AMRF team members volunteer with a community partner for at least thirty hours. Often these engagements are much longer and deeper, spanning everything from food prep at a drop-in center to ongoing board service to grassroots organizing efforts.
